FAQ

Will my appointment be in the Park Integrative Health or Synapse building?

If you have booked an appointment in my schedule, it will be at Synapse: Unit 910, 3890 Sherwood Drive, Sherwood Park. The buildings are in the same complex but Synapse is located a few doors down on the east side of the building, whereas Park Integrative Health is on the West end.

How long will my appointment be?

If you have booked a new assessment you should plan to be in the clinic for at least 60 minutes. The last 45 minutes will be directly with me and budgeting roughly 15 minutes with the front desk to sort our your future appointments, set up your insurance direct billing, and fill in any forms needed before your appointment.

If you have booked a follow-up treatment you should plan to be in the clinic for around 30 minutes.

What do I need to bring to my appointment?

The only things that are essential are a copy of your insurance information for billing and yourself! Everything else we can certainly work around. However, some helpful things to bring to make sure you get the most out of your appointment include: loose fitting clothes that expose the body part you are seeking care for (ex. shorts for knee pain, tank top for shoulder pain), and a copy of any doctors referrals or imaging reports (ex. X-ray, ultrasound, MRI) that you may have had.

Can Park Integrative Health direct bill my insurance?

Yes, we can direct bill for the following insurance providers:

Alberta Blue Cross, BPA, Canada Life, CCWA, Chambers of Commerce, CINUP, Claimsecure, Cowan, D.A. Townley, Desjardin Insurance, First Canadian, GMS, Group Health, Group Source, Industrial Alliance, Johnson Group, Johnston Group, Local 506, Manion, Manulife, Maximum Benefits, and Sunlife.

Can I receive physiotherapy at PIH for my workplace related injury?

No, unfortunately PIH is unable to accept patients who are receiving care via WCB (workers compensation board) but if you phone the clinic our staff will be happy to assist you in finding a clinic that will be able to help you with your workplace injury.
